Hello All!
It’s been a while and we appreciate your patience as we prepare for more touring throughout the second half of the year.
That being said, two very exciting pieces of news, and we’ll have a follow-up email in a couple of weeks with more tour dates to follow.
First piece of exciting news is to announce that Italian vocal virtuoso, Alessandro Del Vecchio, has come onboard as ProgJect’s lead singer/frontman. With a four-plus octave range, ADV has lent his many talents to various members of Deep Purple, Dream Theater, Jethro Tull, and Kansas, to name only a few and now offers ProgJect the opportunity to more authentically cover artists like YES, Rush and Gentle Giant, as well as expand our repertoire to include material from Kansas, Focus, VdGG, and more. He’s also a beast on keyboards!
Second piece of exciting news is that Bill Bruford will be momentarily coming out of retirement to open up (though not in the musical sense) for our last two shows of the June dates. I wish there was some way to convince him to sit it on a song or two, but Dr. Bill is officially retired from playing; and sticking (no pun intended) to his guns.
So, what’s Bill going to do onstage before us? He’s going to banter with music journalist/author/critic Anil Prasad about all things Bill, as well as take some questions from the audience.
Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have a word with Bill Bruford–not only one of the world’s greatest drummers, an incredible composer and all-round musician, but one hell of a very smart, very interesting, and very nice guy! And if you want him to autograph his book, a record, a photo, etc…he’ll do that too (limit 3 per person).
So, that’s the update, more to follow!
